Employee Assistance Programs

BSS is well recognised in industry and now provides EAP services to offshore support companies, transport organisations, service and construction industries. BSS is an established, major provider of EAP services to industry and, through its partnership in an Australia-wide network, can deliver these services in all states and territories of Australia.
The key features of Employee Assistance Programs are:
  • Most issues that present are resolved within 3-4 sessions.
  • The process is confidential. Counsellors are bound by the National Privacy Principles Act (2000) to respect an individual's privacy. Information will not be provided to employers without consent, unless there is serious risk involved.
  • Counselling is voluntary and accessed by self-referral.
  • The EAP services are fully funded by employers.
  • Counselling is accessible across all Australia States and Territories through the BSS comprehensive affiliate network.
  • EAP counselling is available for employees of client companies and some organisations allow access to immediate family member (partner and dependent children). For more information on the eligibility for your organisation, please contact BSS to check the criteria.

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

BSS provides 24/7 emergency assistance (critical incident support and urgent counselling). The service is provided via our freecall 1800 number to an after-hours service and is monitored by multiple counsellors.

EAP ACCESS

Although always available via phone to book face-to-face appointments, BSS is one of the most progressive EAP providers in Australia, providing online "e-Therapy" services. BSS appointments can also be made via email or via smartphone app. Useful features of the BSS app are:
  • Self-help tips guide covering a range of topics (these include sleep, stress, conflict, relationships, anger management, etc.)
  • Automatic send appointment request and booking facility that can be operated 24/7. This facility also allows clients to change and cancel appointments.
